2017 Transitioning the Neurorespiratory Patient to Home

Transitioning the neurorespiratory patient from hospital to home involves collaboration between both hospital and home healthcare professionals. This presentation will identify various neurorespiratory diseases and disease states as well as the education and learning needs of this patient population and their support network. In addition the presenter will discuss the respiratory therapist’s role in caring for this patient population in the home and the hospital, including current Medicare guidelines necessary for transitioning the patient to home.
