Advancing technology has provided patients with the ability to live at home with progressively more complex medical conditions. As more patients receiving mechanical ventilation are discharged to home and respiratory therapists are vital to the successful transition and maintenance of mechanical ventilation at home. This presentation will discuss the challenges of home mechanical ventilation and the role of the respiratory therapist.
