2018 Pursuing an Expanded Scope of Practice: Leveraging Your License to Support Your Patients

Patient care continues to evolve at a brisk pace with sicker patients being cared for with fewer resources. Expanding staffing is complicated by limited financial resources and utilization of other healthcare providers is hampered by their lack of specific education and training or expertise related to the practice of respiratory care. The solution to this problem resides with our ability to practice at the top of our license, so how do we expand our practice to meet our patient’s needs?
